In a typical business or organisation, and across society, we're constantly faced with hierarchies. Someone is in charge, and everyone else has to follow their direction. Even in businesses where the management is flat and employees are encouraged to give their input, there is always going to be someone higher up the chain making decisions.

The issue with a triangle though is that there are always people lower down who will be striving to reach the top, and if you have too many people at the top, at some point the triangle will crumble.

But you don’t need a title to lead. And you don’t need to reach the top to make a difference.

Leadership starts with you.

Lead your thinking. Lead your actions. Lead your values.

Because when you lead yourself well, trust, influence, and opportunity naturally follow.
