Sometimes the change has to start with you.
For so long, I’ve been saying the same thing:
✅ Online training matters
✅ Soft skills matter
And for so long, I’ve heard the same pushback:
“Not a priority right now.”
“We’ll wait for the next budget cycle.”
“Let’s see if leadership signs off.”
Here’s what I’ve learned:
In big organisations, change moves slow.
The system is a massive machine. It’s not built to pivot fast.
If you’re waiting for it to hand you growth, recognition, or opportunity… you could be waiting forever.
Sometimes the change has to start with you.
And despite all the feedback I got that soft skills aren’t necessary or they’re not important, I knew better.
I launched my own masterclass. And the response was overwhelming.
So here’s my message: Don’t wait for permission. Don’t wait for the budget. Don’t wait for “someday.”
